Kerrville Airplane Crash - Witnesses told the National Transportation Safety Board they saw a twin-engine plane before it crashed outside Kerrville on Monday, killing six people.
The plane took off from West Houston Airport when it crashed at around 8:50 am, 9.5 km northwest of Kerrville Municipal Airport. Witnesses did not see the plane hit the ground. Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson Lynn Lunsford said the Beechcraft BE58 crashed on a private farm.

FAA and National Transportation Safety Board investigators are investigating the accident. A preliminary NTSB report is expected next week.
Passengers are flying to Kerrville on business, NTSB inspector Mike Folkerts said on Tuesday. Folkerts said Weiss purchased the plane in 2002, is airlift certified, and has logged more than 5,000 hours of flight. He said the plane was flying at a slow speed about 200 feet above the ground when the accident occurred.
"With a high vertical landing and slow forward speed, this is not compatible with trying to land an airplane," Folkerts said. Said.
A Rans S-7 Courier single-engine light sport aircraft crashed near Kingsland on Sunday, killing the two people on board. William Lee Glenn, 69, and John Timothy Sharp, 66, of Kingsland, were killed, according to DPS.
